Our team was tasked with designing the interface and developing the templates for Ness’s new website. Available at Ness.com, we worked with their executive leadership, marketing team, stakeholders, and a newly acquired firm to deliver high-fidelity mockups that led to the implementation of its homepage, parent pages, subpages, and sub-websites for international concerns such as Kosice. We worked closely with Risk Focus, A Ness Company, to integrate the website’s design cohesively, across hundreds of pages.

Alongside their talented cadre of engineers and business managers, we were tasked to augment their existing skillsets with PHP engineering, user interface design, user experience research, and marketing consulting services on a project and ad hoc basis. Our engineering team worked closely with Risk Focus on software technology projects for New York-based clientele, and continues to provide design support on their sales materials and applications to promote growth.
News Literacy Project is a nonpartisan education nonprofit that provides programs and resources for educators and the public to teach, learn, and share the abilities needed to be smart, active consumers of news and information through an embrace of news literacy. NLP’s vision is to enable students to be engaged participants in a democracy and in the civic life of their communities.
We led NLP’s effort on new feature development, security audits, and back-end refactoring of their browser-based Virtual Classroom platform Checkology®. In addition, we developed Informable, NLP’s mobile app entry that allows students to practice four distinct news literacy skills in a game-like format. We provided go-to engineering resources to reinforce their products' stability and infrastructure.
Fruit Street provides diabetes prevention and weight loss programs that cover a variety of health and wellness topics, including meal planning, tips for eating away from home, and ways to increase daily physical activity. These lifestyle and dietary programs support dietitian and group insight, and are available on a browser-based administrative platform and mobile applications.
We collaborate with Fruit Street to migrate their legacy web application's backend from CakePHP to Node/Express for future extensibility across platforms. We helped the team migrate to Kubernetes for virtualized containerization for scale and reduced reliance on one overloaded server. Over time we have become Fruit Street's go-to technical company that supports their systems and platforms.
Marinus Analytics empowers the collaboration between AI and individuals on the frontlines of our world’s most pressing problems. They internationally-recognized technology pioneers whose mission is to protect the vulnerable and end systemic exploitation. Marinus deploys SaaS applications in the public sector to disrupt human trafficking, child abuse, and cyber fraud.
We worked alongside Marinus to design and support their law enforcement and social worker platforms. Our design team and software engineers assisted in developing more streamlined, user-friendly websites and applications through an Agile feedback framework.
Education Blueprint’s vision is to harness the insight and experience from educators around the world and let them showcase their app, website, book, and game recommendations to other users on the platform. Their unique website allows educators to tailor their own experiences by selecting what subjects, disciplines and grade levels are relevant to their needs.
We constructed Education Blueprint from the ground up, providing both technical and creative support. Inspired by Education Blueprint’s purpose, our team fleshed out the idea into a workable platform, implementing everything from setup and management, content and design, to long-term maintenance.
Thrillhop is a social media app that allows users to quickly make plans with friends at nearby locations. Users create a profile to see nearby places on a map, where they can explore and tap on map pins to invite contacts to join them on a specified date. Users can also post pictures while they are out and about. Thrillhop is developed with React Native and is available on both iOS and Android.
We spun up Thrillhop’s infrastructure on AWS, including applicable environment servers, a load balancer, and relational database instances. In addition to infrastructure, we fully integrated a technology stack that allowed Thrillhop to be built seamlessly across mobile platforms. Throughout the project the client was able to utilize our deep engineering knowledge to ensure development practices were properly coded.
Samuel Baron Clothiers provides polished, upscale clothier offerings to clients in the Pittsburgh region. With their cadre of master clothiers, they deliver unmatched services in tailoring custom-fitted suits, tuxedos, and shirts for men. They have recently augmented their line to include cashmere, skirts and pants, pullovers, and tops for women.
We consulted directly with the client to provide unparalleled web design and development services to ensure their brand, messaging, and aesthetic were portrayed correctly and the website could garner leads from potential customers through effective service offerings. A website is often the first stop that prospective customers take on their journey to become a loyal patron; we believe the website turned into an effective tool for SBC.
Fig & Ash is a rave-reviewed “farm-to-flame” restaurant based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The cozy restaurant serves wood-flamed, scratch-cooked mash-ups of Modern American and Classic European fare, and couples them with classic and inventive seasonal cocktails.
Over time, we've built a great relationship with the proprietors of Fig & Ash, who lean on us as their technical team to update their patron-facing website and integrate it with various third-party platforms for showcasing their changing menu and reservation schedules. Our creative team developed the Fig & Ash brand and provides ongoing public relations and marketing support.
